User’s manual for the Glue TRS 2002 NEW
1. Preparation of the glue
Enabling temperature range for work performance with the glue is +10°C and +30°C.
Note!!! The temperature of the glue must be above dew point for at least 3 degrees. But, in case the temperature ranges between +5°C+10°C, minimum 5 degrees above dew point.
In case the temperature of the glue does not comply with the above mentioned conditions do the following:
- Take the glue to the warm place
- Wait until the glue heats up
- Mix it for a two minutes
2. Preparation of the surface
Note!!! Temperature of the splicing surfaces must be above dew point for at least 3 degrees. But, in case having temperature range between +5°C+10°C, minimum 5 degrees above dew point.
In case temperature of the surfaces does not comply with the above mentioned conditions heat up the surfaces.
Rubber: Spliced surfaces must be clean, dry and cleared from any kind of grease and oil. Roughen the surface until no smooth place left. Clear the surface from the shavings.
Fabric: Spliced surfaces must be clean, dry and cleaned from any type of grease and oil.
Rubber with the CN bonding layer: Spliced surfaces must be dry and cleared from any kind of grease and oil. Roughen isn't needed, you just need to wipe bonding layer by the solvent.
Metal: Spliced surfaces must be clean and cleared from any kind of grease and rust. Roughen the surface by the abrasive blasting or sanding. Wipe the surface by the solvent and let it dry. Apply a layer of the primer on the surface of the metal to increase its durability.
3. Preparation of the mix
Mix the hardener TRS 1000M with the glue in the proportion of 40 g of the hardener per 1 kg of the glue.
- Mix for about 2 minutes
- Add the hardener to the glue
- Mix for about 2 minutes
4. Applying
Rubber, fabric and metal: It’s necessary to apply two layers. Apply thin and even layer on the both spliced surfaces. Let it dry for about 60-90 minutes. Then apply the second layer and let it dry (about 10-30 minutes) until it becomes a little bit adhesive when you check it by the back of your palm.
Rubber with the CN bonding layer: Only one layer must be applied on the rubber with the CN. Two layers must be applied on the second surface.
5. Splicing
Put splicing surfaces on each other and press (for example using the inertialess hammer). It is also important for a surfaces being spliced to be in the full contact with each other.
